My favorite LSS (Inspiration Station, Stafford, CT) had a promo about a month ago that you could earn "money" for what you spent and it was redeemable at the end of January. Well needless to say it was burning a hole in my pocket so off I went and picked up some Magnolia's. This is one of three I bought.

Colored with Copics, paper I think is from a K & Company pack. Added Stickles to the daisy. Hope everyone had a good Monday. I'm exhausted already trying to figure out how early is to early to go to bed!!!

Still parked on the couch watching the game now. I did get up and do some laundry at least. Thought I would post a second post today.

So these two cuties are a Bugaboo Brat digi. I had been so good about picking my paper first and then coloring but I started coloring this one and just went with the colors and thought "I'm never going to find paper" but I did and I'm really happy with it. Flowers are all Wild Orchid. I'm entering this in Bugaboo's "Anything Goes" challenge and Stamp, Scrap and Doodle's Die Cut's challenge. Go Giants!

Happy Sunday everybody. We got all of our stuff done early so we can park ourselves on the couch and wait for some football. I've lived in New England my entire life but I'm a Dolphins fan so I really don't care who wins tonight but I am going to hope the Giants do because my dad is a die hard fan. Got to spend most of yesterday in my craft area. Made this card using an older High Hopes stamp.

Colored with Copics. Paper was scraps, ribbon is Close to my Heart and the buttons are from Doodlebug. I'm entering this in two challenges, High Hopes Pink, Pink and more Pink and Cute Card Thursday's Buttons and Bows (bows are on her shoes which I added Stickles to). Enjoy your day!

This is the first time participating in their challenge I didn't know they had one! Still trying to sell our house, we have a showing tomorrow so my daughter pitched in and helped me clean like a lunatic lol! I'm a neat freak to begin with (I drive my family nuts) but I go into overdrive when I know we have a showing. I've been "pinning" pictures and ideas on my Pinterest account for my future craft room if we ever sell and get to move! Cross your fingers for us if you would. I was looking through my digis the other day and realized that I don't think I have ever used this cutie!

Colored with Copics, I have had this one lone piece of paper forever and finally decided I needed to use it! I'm still being good about not buying any new paper, I went to The Inspiration Station tonight and resisted completely! I bought three Magnolia's instead. The past two weeks I've definitely rediscovered my love of my Penny Black stamps!

This beauty is colored in Copics, the floral paper is Doodlebug, not sure about the stripe it was in my stash. Flowers are all from Wild Orchid. I'm entering this in the Penny Black challenge "Crafty Bargains". My bargain is the ribbon (which unfortunately you can barely see). Found it on clearance at Michael's, I went in for something totally different and found all this ribbon on clearance. Hope everyone had a nice weekend. I spent most of yesterday afternoon/evening parked in front of the tv watching the Barrett Jackson auction, it's something I look forwared to every year. The brought back reserve auctions this year and there were some amazing cars that went for amazing money!! Happy Sunday.

When we cleaned out my grams house after she passed I came across a bunch of lace and ribbon and this pretty pink ribbon was part of that - very dainty. Hope everyone is having a good weekend it is soooooo cold here today. We've been really spoiled with a mild winter so far so I forget how cold it should be. Good thing I'm going to be a couch bum today watching football. Hugs!!

I love the Lili of the Valley stamps but until recently I only bought the cute critters. I ordered a few of the Emma's and I absolutely love them! Colored this cutie with Copics. Paper is two completely random pieces that I found and thought they worked ok together. I've been trying to pick my paper first and then stamp my image. I always stamped my image, colored and then spent forever trying to pick paper out to go with it. I color a lot on my break at work so I've been cutting off a small piece of the paper and bring it with me and then coloring from there. Working much better for me! Also I'm trying to use the tons of paper I have instead of buying new so I just grab a piece and go!

Twelve...yep....12....we have just entered into 2012 and I thought it would be fun to celebrate it!!

So here is what you need to do for this challenge and don't let it scare you away...a challenge is a challenge for a reason right?! To challenge you!!!

Sooooo.....you can do this 3 different ways

1. simply us the number 12 on your project in some way or other

2. use twelve elements on your project...no LESS and no MORE than twelve(DP, embellishments, CS, image, sentiment...all those things will count toward your twelve)

3. use twelve on 1 thing (twelve different DP's...lol..that would be fun to try ;-)....12 of the same embellishments, etc)

I didn't make it until midnight to ring in the new year but I'm happy about 2012. I'm hoping things will turn around for our house sale/purchase!

Colored with Copics and used what I think is the very last piece of velvet ribbon I had. I thought it was all gone and then I found one more piece! Hope everyone is ready for the holidays, I am not. I wanted to do something "unseasonal"! I used the Paper Shelter's Spring Swing digi.

Colored with Copics, paper was a scrap. Flowers are from Wild Orchid. Things are pretty much back to normal, yard is almost all cleaned up, got our phone back and finally got cable back. I was missing tv I hate to admit it. We had a generator that would light up basically a light and charge our cell phones so at night we would plug in our tiny portable DVD player and watch a movie but it wasn't the same!! After The Storm....

Storm Alfred showed up as a rare October snowstorm that kicked Connecticut's rear. It dropped about a foot of heavy snow that downed wires, trees and limbs everywhere. I believe at the height there were over 800,000 people without power. It looked like nothing I've ever seen even with the hurricanes we've had. We were without power, heat and water for over a week but fortunate that we were all ok. We work for a public works department so needless to say we worked crazy hours. But here we are almost two weeks later and normal has started to return. We are so fortunate.

I did get to make a few cards finally!

I used Halloween Vampire digi stamp - this cutie is on sale right now! I used my Memory Box Creepy Web die and the bats are a Martha Stewart punch. He's colored in copics. Hope everyone is having a good week it's getting cold here and they have the "s" word in the forecast for Saturday. This is one of the Toby Tumble digi's - isn't he just adorable?? I didn't get anytime to make any cards last weekend, we cleaned the house like lunatics on Friday for our open house on Sunday, we headed out early Saturday down to Long Island for a wedding. We stayed over but had to leave LI at 5 am because Mark had double header baseball playoff games starting at 10 am. We didn't get back to the hotel from the wedding until about 1 am so we had about 3 hours sleep. Needless to say I think we were sleeping by 7 Sunday night! They won one, lost one so we have the final game on Sunday. I will be glad when baseball is over it's getting cold out watching the games! So tonight I put together this card.

The Stamping Boutique Challenge 17 Someone Special

Our challenge was to make a card for "Someone Special". I used AJ the Builder digi stamp. This card is for my dad who has been working like a maniac helping us get our house ready to sell. We could not have done it without him and I have a gift certificate for him for a hotel my folks love to go to in Maine and I'm going to tuck inside this card. He really is the best and we are so lucky!

I colored AJ with Copics, didn't want to make the card to girlie so I just added some buttons. I've had a couple days off and I do not want to go back to work tomorrow! I love the kitty on the broom! So cute. Colored with Copics. I think the paper is Doodlebug, still trying to work off my scraps stash. I have got to stop buying paper and use what I have lol! Well it's back to Monday, my daughter turned 13 this weekend...eeeeeekkk....I asked her to please not turn into a nasty, satanic teenager she just rolled her eyes at me as usual. We had a nice family, friend dinner, made some of our favorite recipes from Carmine's (fave restaurant in NYC) and everyone had a good time. I listened to 4 giggling teenagers most of the night but they had a good time.

First Stamping Boutique Project

Here's my first ever project for The Stamping Boutique Challenge Design Team! This is for the "Changing of the Season" challenge. I love fall colors.

A card and some NYC pics

My girlfriend Patti and I love Manhatten we go as often as the budget will allow. My other half (Mark) went to the races in Loudon yesterday and Patti and I took off for lower Manhatten. We went to Mario Batali's Eataly. I don't know if anyone has gone but oh my goodness it is the best place. It's a huge market/restaurant. They have tons of food to buy for home - meat counter, cheese, fresh pastas, boxed pasta, sauce, candy oh my! There are different restaurant areas to choose from. We went right for the carbs to the Pizza and Pasta area. Our meal was fantastic. Just loved it. We went down to Little Italy for the San Gennaro festival which was a ton of fun. Ate some more there. We walked the Brooklyn Bridge - all in all it was a great day of just wandering. So here are a few pics of our trip and then a card!

Crazy Month of September

It's been a nutty couple of weeks in my house, started back to school and dance, poor doggy got neutered and had baby teeth removed and then my daughter fell and knocked out a tooth (permanent of course) and gave herself whiplash. We are still trying to sell our house and I feel like all I've done for months is clean the house. We did get to go see the Uproar concert, Mark and I are huge fans of Avenged Sevenfold and Bullet for my Valentine and they were both great so at least we got to have a little fun! I did get to make some cards too!!

I love these little Bugaboo Turtles they are so stinking cute! Day off today for Labor Day and I got to make some cards and watch a couple good horror movies in peace! Don't feel like going back to work tomorrow!! We made it through the hurricane better than we thought we would, we were without power for three days which wasn't bad at all considering some Towns in Connecticut were almost a week without it.

It's been pouring here all day, yesterday too, so it's ugly. Stayed in the house and got just a couple of cards done. I haven't been very motivated to make cards, things haven't gone well trying to sell this house so we have been pretty discouraged. So I'm trying to get back in the swing of things! I thought June was busy! We decided to try to sell our house - crazy in this market I know but we have spent the last few weeks running around like lunatics getting stuff ready, finishing up unfinished projects and we are just hoping it will be worth it! I finally got some time to make some cards yesterday and I used this gorgeous Wee Suzi digi. Just love her. Hope everyone is having a good summer so far the weather is gorgeous today!

We've had tornado warnings all afternoon which is so rare for us and Springfield, MA northwest of us had a tornado. Praying no one was hurt, pictures and video are just starting to come out now on the new. Hope everyone is having a good week, tomorrow starts dance craziness for us. My daughter's dance recital is this weekend, she has rehearsal tomorrow night and Friday night and then shows on Saturday and Sunday. This is the first digi I have bought from Teddy Bo isn't he cute? So I made the card was happy with the coloring and paper choice (Close To My Heart) and then I put the ribbon on and I thought oh my gosh I just ruined this card! I hated it. So I dug through my buttons and decided to throw some on there figured it couldn't look any worse and I have to say I think the buttons totally saved it and I was happy with the end result. I really didn't want to like these because I don't need to "need" another line of stamps and there are so many of these! Wild Orchid Challenge

I made this card using a new Wee Suzi digi, they are the most adorable images! The challenge was white plus two colors with a twist. I'm hoping this card was what they were looking for! Colored with Copics. I've been using the Cryogen paper getting better at it, I was applying to much pressure (used to different paper) and it was bleeding around the edges but I think I have it under control! Background paper was a half a sheet I had left no idea whose it is but I'm sad I don't have more!

Added two Wild Orchid roses and some pretty lace ribbon from Michael's. Sorry the picture is kinda crummy I don't have a good place to take pics in this house! No good light and the sun is setting here. Need a good lightbox. Hope everyone is having a good week almost Friday!

It's been so cloud and yucky here lately I thought this was a perfect stamp to use although I did nice bright colors so it made me feel much better! Supposedly the sun is going to be out tomorrow and it's going to be nice which is good cuz Mark has his first baseball game of the season tomorrow then we are off to a concert at Mohegan Sun. I took Monday off so I could recover lol! Not easy getting home at 1 am and getting up at 4 am anymore! Too old lol!!

Finally got my craft area back, we had water in the basement after it rained on top of the tons of snow we had about a month ago...well the water kept coming and coming and we realized something more was happening than the water table being high. So my better half ripped out the wall being my craft "bar" and the hose that ran to the sump pump had 3 leaks in it and it was just dumping the water right back into the wall. What a mess. But pump has new hose, wall has been re-insulated and sheet rocked and painted and I'm back in business! I hope everyone had a good weekend and happy back to work ugh lol!

I am just in love with these beautiful digi stamps from Sylvia Zet! This stamp comes from Spesch Stamps. Just gorgeous although I do find them challenging because they are so detailed so I'm working hard on my coloring skills!

High Hopes Challenge Glitter/Sparkle

High Hopes newest challenge was to add glitter or sparkle...not hard to do since I love my Stickles!

I used "Hare's My Heart" one of the newer High Hopes stamps. It might be hard to tell but the cardstock has glitter all over it and I added glitter to the heart on the bunny and little tiny glitter dots to the ladybug. I'm going to try to get my errands done early as we have (shocking) more snow on the way. Connecticut has been hit hard this winter and the past two weeks we have had collapsing roofs everywhere. Very scary. The National Guard came in to help with the schools in my Town (so grateful to them I can't even tell you) and we are hoping the schools will be safe for them on Monday. They are talking another "big" storm for the end of the week. We are all so tired of winter at this point and we have a long way to go. It's been a really long time since we have had snow like this. More Valentines Cuties

My craft area is still in a state of destruction as we are painting the downstairs and with the snow there's been lots of overtime being worked in my house and little time to finish the project. But I did get a couple of cards done.

Both cards done with Copics, both sets of paper I had in my stash and were pieces so I'm not sure who's they are! Trying to be good and use scraps first before I dig into a brand new piece of paper. I'm doing well with some of my New Year's resolutions - one was to be more organized so Friday night while Mark was plowing I spent two hours sorting buttons and brads! I have them sorted much better now (they are all in plastic divided cases and I have I think 16 of them full!) round buttons in one, shaped buttons in other etc. So it was a pain but worth it! We got more snow last night and my lil tiny Chihuahua hates it so taking him out has been a nightmare he's such a princess! LOL Hope everyone has a great Sunday and a good week. Hugs E

One of my New Year's resolutions is to be more active on my blog and getting my cards "out there"! I have good intentions and then the week just gets crazy and well you all know how it is. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Years, we did! I am glad it is over though it was just such a busy few weeks I didn't feel like I had a lot of time to enjoy it. I ended up making so many Christmas cards for others I never made any for myself lol! So I just wished everyone a Merry Christmas and maybe next year I will be more on top of things. So it's Valentine's cards already...I made these two last week.

The top image is Stampavie and the bottom is a Penny Black. I loved the purple/red combination. Both colored with Copics and added flowers (of course). A co-worker of mine had to have emergency surgery over the weekend so this is the card I made for him. I've been doing so many Christmas cards it was really nice to make something else! High Hopes challenge this week was to make a masculine card....so hard not to put flowers on my cards lol~I resisted though but had to add the snowflakes and brad with just a lil glitter!!

I love this guy...colored with Copics. Happy Monday everyone I'm grateful it's a short week and am really looking forward to Thanksgiving and Black Friday shopping. I have to put together my "game plan" and take a nap on Thursday! Hugs E

Stampavie Christmas Puppies

Christmas cuties! I love this Stampavie stamp, colored with pencils and OMS. Added some "snow" underneath their paws and a little crystal lacquer to the berries. Hope everyone is having a good weekend weather is supposed to be great today we have already had our first snow day from school - couldn't believe it. I think it caught everyone by surprise!

High Hopes Challenge

This weeks challenge is a "Birthday" card. I haven't used this image in a long time and it's one of my favorites.

I colored this with Copics and used Doodlebug glitter on the balloons and the present. Paper is Stampin Up. I usually color my image first and then choose my paper and I get frustrated because I can't find something to use with what I've colored so this time I went with paper first. MUCH better...duh...lol! Added flowers (of course!). Happy Monday it's cold here, frost on the grass not happy snow is sadly around the corner. Hugs. E

New Stampavie

I just adore the new Stampavie stamps I bought as many as the budget would allow! Couldn't wait to go pick them up and finally had some time to play with them. Made this card square which I don't normally do but I finally picked up some cello bags for square envelopes so I thought I would try a few. I've had the envelopes forever but kept forgetting to buy the bags. Colored with Copics.

I really need to get working on my Christmas cards! Made this card using a High Hopes image, colored with pencils which I haven't used much lately. Thought the soft colors would be nice for this image.

This is the card I made for High Hopes Challenge Blog "Red & Green".

Colored with Copics...I didn't use any background paper I used one of my Cuttlebug folders which I constantly forget I own lol! I use my bug for my nesties all the time but forget about my folders. Added some ribbon and a candy cane brad. Hope everyone had a nice weekend the weather today was awesome!

This is the cutest image! Colored with Copics. Border punch is a Martha Stewart one, added flowers and brads. Paper is a single sheet I had in my stash. Hope everyone is having a good Monday, it's a holiday for me so I get a day off! Wish I had every Monday off lol. Oh well!!

I made this card for the High Hopes blog challenge "Halloween" - if you didn't have any Halloween images you could substitute a fall image instead which is what I did. Paper and coordinating ribbon is from Close To My Heart. Colored with Copics. I'm off to the Inspiration Station today to pick up my Stampavie order! I pre-order some of the new holiday stamps and yay they are in!! Don't have any idea how much I spent!! Hope everyone has a great day it's beautiful here and it's a long weekend for us. Enjoy!
