Almost a New Year!

The time between Thanksgiving and Christmas flew right by!  A friend of mine puts some of my cards out in her shop for me and she texted me yesterday and said "get to working on Valentine's!!"  So I pulled out an oldie but goodie Penny Black to start with.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!!

Is It Really Thanksgiving Already?

I'm going to stop apologizing for not posting and just get my act together!  I go through these phases where I let other things occupy my time like a crazy person and then I realize that what I really want to be doing is sitting in my craft room watching the latest horror movie and making some cards!

I did get married in September so that took a lot of my time, it was a very small wedding on the beach by my folks house, just close family and friends and then we had a nice dinner.
Mark and I with my daughter Angelina.  A few weeks after the wedding was my daughter's Sweet 16 party!  It was a busy but blessed time.

I have been feverishly working on Christmas cards and I wanted to share these two with you, went back to some of my good old favorite Penny Black stamps.

I love the chickens and frogs!  Hope everyone is well and see you soon!!

I was so excited to find out that I had won the High Hopes Challenge I participated in and was able to be a guest designer for their newest challenge "Fall Colors".  I used High Hopes stamp "Harvest Mice".
Colored with Copics.  I'm excited for Fall and loved using these colors.  Thanks for stopping by!

A Card and a Challenge!

I'm getting married in a couple weeks so life really has been crazy but I had a few hours in the house by myself and thought "get to your craft room - make something".  So I did!  I checked out the High Hopes Challenge Blog to see what challenge they had this week and it's "Buggin Out" so I grabbed this older image for my entry.

Here are the Copics I used for this project:
So thanks for stopping by and I hope everyone has a great weekend!

At Least A Post!

I have no projects to show, I have been about as far away from crafting as I have ever been.  I can't stand it but yet I can't seem to get myself back in there.  I went out yesterday to my favorite spot, The Inspiration Station, and bought some paper and some new stamps.  Do you ever go through such a dry spell?

I keep blaming it on getting married soon and being busy and my daughter making run around like a lunatic but the fact is I just can't seem to stop myself from wasting time doing other things!

So here is to hoping that my purchases yesterday will get me going again. I hope everyone has been well and you have been creating beauty!

Finished Product

I forgot to upload these pics during the week, here are the two cards all finished.  I used another Sassy Cheryl digi over the weekend to make a cute card when it's all together I will snap a pic of that one.  I continue to struggle with lighting, I've tried inside, outside, natural light inside, Ott lights, I tried a light box but I don't ever seem to get it right.  Feel free to comment with any suggestions!!  Hope everyone had a nice weekend, we are still waiting for the trees to start blooming it still looks like winter here.  Thanks for stopping by~

Remember Me????

Hello everyone!  I just don't even know what to say about the length of time it's been since my last post.  I won't bore you with details!!  Did some coloring today - tomorrow I'm hoping to get these onto cards.
Two digis colored with Copics, Wee Stamps and Sassy Cheryl's.  Love the farmer!  We planted blueberry bushes a couple weeks back in our garden area, so excited for fresh blueberries.  To cold still to plant the garden we had record low temps last week.  Another couple weeks and we should hopefully be good to go.  This is the first garden at this house so we figured we would start off small and see how it does.  Hope everyone is well and enjoying their weekend.  Mark is golfing all weekend and Angelina is off at her dads so it's just me and the dog right now.  Enjoy!

Snow, snow and more snow

Shoosh we are having quite the winter!  We are supposed to be having another snow storm tomorrow, Mark and I both work for a public works department for a local municipality, he works for street services so he gets called in to plow so he has hardly been home lately!  I have had to learn how to use a snow blower which doesn't make me happy lol.  We have a truck with a plow on it so he's teaching me how to use that I had my first lesson last night so look out!!!!

I've been doing some different crafting lately I'm trying to teach myself how to quilt.  So far I've been able to stitch some fabric together and have it stay together so that's pretty good for me!!

I've been working on a large card order for someone who has me make some for her a couple times a year.  I did this "for fun" card this week using Whimsy Stamps "Not Fat, Fluffy" stamp by Crissy Armstrong.  I am so glad she's gotten back into farm animals when she designed for High Hopes the farm critters were my favorites.
Colored with Copics.  Hope everyone is having a good week and staying warm!

Where does the time go?

I can't believe it's already the middle of January - life sure does get crazy sometimes!   Hope everyone is enjoying the New Year.  I've been crafting but haven't had a chance to post anything, so here are a couple cards!
This cutie is a stamp from Whimsy Stamps from Crissy Armstrong.  I so love barn animals!  Colored with Copics.
I figured I should probably get moving on Valentine's cards!!  This is a digi from Digi Stamp Boutique.  They have the cutest little owl freebie right now.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend!
