Christmas Eve

Merry Christmas everyone!  I can't believe how fast this year has gone by.  I hope everyone has something wonderful planned for the holidays.  I didn't get to step into my craft room at all this weekend except to clean it since I'm hosting Christmas this year!  I made this card about a week ago.
This cutie is from Stamp Fairy who is having a 50% off sale right now!  I had to ask Santa for a new printer for Christmas so I'm hoping it is under the tree tomorrow!!  Have a wonderful day.

Something new

So I've always loved paper piecing projects but couldn't understand how people were so good with all that cutting - I usually ended up cutting myself more than the paper.  So  recently I've been trying cutting files using the Silhouette Cameo and although I'm really slow at it I must say I enjoy putting all these little tiny pieces together!  My inspiration has been Patty from Patty's Crafty Spot.  Patty and I met while working in the same industry (she worked for an auto parts store and I worked for the districutor) and reconnected at a Copic class we took from Suzanne Dean at The Inspiration Station.  Patty does amazing work both paper piecing and tear bears and she's been patient with all my million questions!!

So this is one of the first project I'm comfortable sharing.
This cutie is from Kristi W. Designs that I got through Kadoodle Bug Designs.  I struggled with picture taking today, tried outside, inside, by the window, flash, no flash, OTT light, no light.  Ugh is just wasn't working well today.  I've had a nice relaxing day today, me and the pup have watched football all afternoon.  I did manage to actually get some laundry done.  Happy Sunday everyone!

Sad news...

The Stamping Boutique is closing!  Myself and the other members of the Design Team are broken hearted but certainly understand.  The store will be closing as of December 31st so head over and grab Tracey's gorgeous artwork while you can. Tracey is so talented and generous I'm going to miss the TSB family so much!

Christmas Card

I know this is a Crissy Armstrong image I think I got it through Whimsy Stamps.
Colored with Copics, I strung the little lights on some twine and then glued the twine down.  Hope everyone is having a good week.  I am so looking forward to this weekend to relax (hopefully)!!

December Already?

Holy cow time is flying right by.  Last weekend was crazy went to NYC again for my annual trip with my BFF Patti.  We always do one thing we've never done before each time we go, this time we went to the NYC Public Library and Bryant Park.  The library was amazing, absolutely gorgeous.  We had a great day of wandering, shopping and eating!  Went to our beloved Carmine's and had an amazing meal.  This weekend will be much quieter and I can't wait I haven't seen the inside of my craft room for two weeks and I'm starting to go a little crazy!  Here is my card for the Stamping Boutique's latest challenge "Holiday Cards"
Come play along with us!

Inspired By Music

The latest challenge is up at The Stamping Boutique "Inspired By Music".  I love music, I listen to all sorts but must admit that my favorite is still hard, heavy, metal!  Love Disturbed, Halestorm, Avenged Sevenfold all that good loud angry stuff!!  This card however is all about my daughter.  She's been dancing for 11 years now and a few years back discovered that she loved tap.
She doesn't do Irish stepping (which I am amazed by) but does love tap.  Hope everyone is having a good week, snowed a little bit here today nothing major, Angelina was disappointed she was hoping for another day off or early dismissal!  Hugs.

Food!!!

Who doesn't love food lol?  This weeks challenge at The Stamping Boutique is all about food.  I am so excited for Thanksgiving it is my favorite holiday for eating!!
I went real simple for this card which is so not me but I was really happy with how it turned out.  Colored with Copics.  Hope everyone is having a good week, we had Monday off so I'm completely confused as to what day it is.

Trying to get back to crafting!

So first we had Hurricane Sandy then a week later we had a nor'easter and had almost a foot of snow!  Who thought living in Connecticut was a good idea!  I'm trying to get back into the swing of things and get some crafting done!  I did get a couple cards done today will post pics tomorrow but wanted to share a couple pictures of my fun day yesterday.  My daughter and I headed to NYC with Mark's sister and his mom to see the Rockette's Christmas Spectacular.  It was fantastic!

I have tomorrow off so hopefully I'll get some crafting done!

Thinking of You

So I'm still battling the plague and then we had hurricane Sandy!  Our shoreline in Connecticut took an absolute beating so much devastation.  I'm towards the middle of the State and while we lost power for a few days we were very fortunate.  My folks who are just a couple miles away are hopefully going to get their power back tonight.  We have had some unbelievable weather in the last year and I am hoping we get a break.  My heart goes out to NYC, New Jersey and lower Connecticut it will be a very long recovery for these people.  I did manage to get my card in for this week's challenge at The Stamping Boutique "Thinking of You"
I know you are probably thinking pig?  I made this card for my dad to give to my mom.  He likes to giver her cards at random times and the deal is he does work around my house that I need help with (mostly painting I hate painting) and I supply him with cards.  I definitely have the better end of the deal!  Hope everyone is having a good week, glad tomorrow is Friday this has been one long week.

Plague...

So my daughter very nicely infected me with some sort of school plague and I haven't left the house in four days, well that's a like I went to the doctor today to have her tell me I had a sinus infection and some bronchial thing.  Fantastic.  So hoping the drugs they gave me start to help I think the dog is getting sick of me taking over the couch.  So even though I've been home for three days I'm late with my lastest challenge for The Stamping Boutique post.  Halloween with pink!!
I love these little feets!!  Colored with Copics the paper is really old Close To My Heart paper.  Check out the latest challenge here!

Back To Monday

I blinked and this weekend was over and I didn't have any stamping time!  My daughter has so nicely shared her plague with me, she's feeling better and I feel like a truck has run me over.  Not sure if it's a cold or the flu but while I was awake for five minute I thought I would share a card with you.
This cutie is a digi from Whimsy and Stars that can be found on Etsy.  Colored with Copics, the paper is Doodlebug.  I hope you are having a better Monday than I am!

I used the digi image Ribbon and Rose.  This has been quite the week for me!  I won the challenge over High Hopes and at Lili's Little Fairies!!  So excited.  Hope everyone is having a good week I'm exhausted tonight and going to try to go to bed early.  Gnite!

Two Post In One Day!

I'm liking the whole house to myself, getting all sorts of stuff done!  I made this card...
Used one of the newer LOTV stamps, colored with Copics.  I'm entering it in the following challanges:

Stamp & Create Winter Wonderland
Sir Stamp A Lot Punch Away
and Lili's Little Fairies Xmas Card For The Boys

High Hopes Winter Wonderland Challenge

Happy Monday!  I'm fortunate to have today off, have spent most of it in my craft room as the house is quiet, just me, the dog and the cats!  I'm entering this card in High Hopes "Winter Wonderland" Challenge.  Love this older HH image.
Still struggling with the quality of the photos can't seem to find a good spot in this house.  Hope everyone is having a good day.

Pink Pink Pink

The new challenge is up at The Stamping Boutique...Pink, Pink, Pink for Breast Awareness Month.
I told the rest of the Design Team when I planned this card out I thought the pink would have popped off the card a bit more.  I wasn't unhappy with the card but it didn't turn out exactly how I thought.  So it's a cold, rainy day here, pretty yicky I think the leaves are going to start jumping off the trees!  Hope everyones week is good.

Finally! A Little Crafting Time

I finally got about two hours on Saturday to do some crafting but since I was also watching the second season of The Walking Dead I only made one card because I couldn't take my eyes of the show!
I used one of my new LOTV stamps.  They are just the cutest.  Colored with Copics.  Hope everyone is off to a good start this week.  My daughter had a birthday party over the weekend she is turning 14 (eeekk shoot me now) and had friends and family Friday night, bunch of girls slept over and then they went to the homecoming dance Saturday night.  Here's pic of my girl!

Isn't she pretty??  They had a great time.  Happy Monday everyone.  Hugs

Busy Weekend

Wow this week and weekend have been crazy.  There has been something to do every night and the weekend was action packed.  I started taking Italian this week, so far so good, I can say good morning and good evening lol.  Had my daughter's open house, her teachers seem really nice.  I had a baby shower yesterday and then we went to the Big E last night.  For those not in my area it's a yearly fair up in Massachusetts that runs for three weeks, it's huge.  There is a building for each of the New England states show casing food, products, etc.  That's my favorite part.  I eat my way through the buildings beginning right at Rhode Island where I have my clam fritters!  It took forever to get in and out of there this year.  Today I had my class "All About Hair" with the queen of cardmaking Suzanne Dean!!  It was at the Inspiration Station in Stafford, CT.  Her is me and the little skinny minnie queen!
It was a great class I learned a lot.  So back to work tomorrow.  Ugh.  Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Back To School Challenge

Wahoo!!  Love back to school, heehee.  My daughter started high school this year so the poor thing was a nervous wreck but so far it has gone really well!  (Knocking on wood).  The latest challenge at The Stamping Boutique is "Back To School" I made mine with my favorite lovely Audrey.
Check out what the design team has created.  So I'm actually running out of things that are available to watch on the computer on Netflix, so Netflix kept recommending The Survivors to me and I thought oh what the heck I will give it a shot.  This was a tv show from the BBC on post plague (love me a good plague) life.  So before I knew it I was completely and totally addicted.  However had I bothered to read about it prior to watching I would have read that it only made it two seasons and it was cancelled with a cliff hanger.  I almost cried.  This was the best show!!!!!  How did this show not make it?????  Apparently not everyone shares my love of the plague.  This was a tragedy my British friends.  Sigh.  So fortunately my second season of The Walking Dead discs should be in the mail tomorrow.  Hope everyone is having a good week, I'm trying despite this major disappointment. :)

Remembering 9/11

I'm sorry for the late post for this weeks The Stamping Boutique Challenge, life definitely got in the way this week.  This week's challenge is remembering 9/11, every year I'm amazed at how another year has gone by and we are remembering this tragedy.
I'm not very good at putting my emotions into words so I don't mean to simplify what this day means to me, it was horrible and sometimes I have to force myself to think back to this day because it was and still is just overwhelming.  I pray for peace for everyone.

Card And A Wedding

So this past weekend was Mark's sister's wedding.  Super busy weekend but everything was so nice - everything turned out fantastic!  Here is a picture of the three of us, kills me that my daughter is taller than me now! I have heels on so you can't tell heehee.
I was a bridesmaid and Mark was an usher (he looks so handsome doesn't he??)   So I did manage to have a few minutes to make my card for the latest Stamping Boutique Challenge for Labor Day.
I used AJ the Farmer, nobody works harder than a farmer!  I don't know how they do.  Colored with Copics, the paper is from Close To My Heart, U used some twine and tied some twine in the wood buttons.  Hope everyone is having a good week so far I keep forgetting we had Monday off so I am putting myself a day behind!

The newest challenge is up at The Stamping Boutique "Anything Goes Birthday"
I admit it, I can't resisit Aj and Audrey digis from TSB!  If you love them as much as I do head over to the shop, everything is 30% off right now in honor of back to school!  Yay, yay, yay, do I sound excited that my daughter is going back to school?  She is going into the high school and the poor thing is a nervous wreck.  She starts tomorrow, I can't wait!  So back to my card, I colored with Copics and the paper is Doodlebug, love all the bright colors.  Hope everyone is having a good week so far.

I've used this image lots of times but she is such a beauty I can't help myself!  This is a Wee Suzi digi, colored with Copics,  all the flowers are from Wild Orchid, papers are Doodlebug.  Hope everyone is having a good weekend, watched some terrible horror movies and made some cards!  Mark's sister is getting married next weekend so we've been helping her make her favors and stuff for the rehearsal dinner.  Tomorrow we are putting together her programs for the church.  Can't believe it's a week away!  Thanks for stopping by.

Colored with copics, paper is from Close To My Heart.  I made the banner using my Silhouette Cameo, starting to get the hang of that thing!  Make sure you check out the design team's awesome work this week!  Hope everyone is having a good week so far.  I rearranged my craft room for the third time and think I finally have everything where I want it.  I'm sure that will change lol.

Little Wizard Cutie

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.  Once of my closest friends came to stay with us for a few days.  She lives in Florida (I'm in Connecticut) and she flies up a couple times a year and we go shopping!  So we did our part for the economy at the outlets in Wrentham, MA.  I was actually really good I bought three Christmas presents!  My daughter picked out a bunch of stuff for back to school.  We shopped, went to the races, ate out a lot and then I dragged her to a tattoo convention in Hartford.  We saw some amazing art work.  So it's been a fun week.  Back to cards!  This cutie is a Stamp Fairy digi.
Colored with Copics, don't you just love the little owl??  Happy Sunday!

Show Me The Presents!

The latest challenge is posted at The Stamping Boutique and it's all about the presents!!  We have new design team members so come check out their amazing work.
Here is my card with one of my lovely Audrey's!  Colored with copics.  Hope everyone is having a good week, I have a friend coming from Florida to visit at the end of the week, can't wait to see her!  We usually spend days shopping!  I'm sad that the Olympics are over they were amazing, thank you London!  The amount of talent the atheletes have is just mind blowing, I don't understand how they can do some of the things they do!  Everything was fantastic and the opening and closing ceremonies were just unbelievalbe.  My daughter was happy she got to see her beloved group One Direction.

Stampavie

I picked this stamp up at my fave LSS Inspiration Station.  I love Stampavie, their stamps will stamp such a nice clear image.  So I didn't get as many cards done as I thought I would today, I think I did 3 and then I re-arranged my craft table again.  At some point I will get it just where I want it.  My daughter and I headed out to run a bunch of errands.  It had been raining but no big deal, well, we were on our last stop and the rain was so bad that we thought we would wait it out a few in the car.  So I thought I'd check the radar and holy cannoli what a storm!  We had tornado watches so we decided to come home.  To say that we have had severe weather the last year and a half is an understatement so I was a little nervous.  The house was all good and we had power so I was happy!  So anyway back to my card....
Just look at these cute little mice!  Colored with Copics, flowers are all Wild Orchid.  U used one of my Pearl pens to make the yellow dots.  Hope everyone is having a good Friday!

Whimsie Doodle Cutie

Check out this cutie digi from Whimsie Doodles!
I have had this paper forever and as soon as I saw this image I knew it would be perfect.  I think it's from Queen & Co.  I love blue/green combos.  So glad tomorrow if Friday, I have the day off again and am hoping to get some crafting time in.  I'm running out of options of things to watch on Netflix I think I've exhausted the horror/thriller/mystery/zombie/viral plague/natural disaster selections!!  I am patiently waiting for the second season of The Walking Dead to be available on disc two and a half more weeks!  Can't resist anything zombie related lol!  Hope everyone had a good week!

Halloween Fluffles

Fluffles has to be one of my favorite characters ever, I think my first stamp that I tried Prisma pencils and OMS with was a Fluffles.
Colored with Copics, the paper and buttons is Doodlebug.  The web punch I just picked up at JoAnns the other day.  I'm tired today, stayed up to late watching the Olympics but I can't turn off the swimming or diving!

Penny Black Hedgies

Happy Sunday!  It's a gloomy day here today, rained like crazy yesterday which we desperately needed but it's yicky!  On Friday Mark's mom and I went craft shopping, we went to the NE Scrapbook Co. in Canton and then on to the Stamp and Scrap Nest in Simsbury.  It was a fun day of shopping.  I picked up this Penny Black at the Stamp and Scrap.  Something about strawberries I just cannot resist!

Colored with Copics.  I'm entering this in a couple challenges, Stamp & Create's Hand's Full of Love, and Penny Black's Summertime.   Hope everyone had a great weekend and thanks for stopping by!

The Stamping Boutique Texting Terminology

Sorry I'm late with this post I don't know where this week went.  The Stamping Boutique's latest challenge is "Texting Terminology".  I made this for my daughter to give to her "BFF" for her birthday.  This is from the laundry line series and is just adorable.
Colored with Copics, I love the little frog!  I wasn't happy with the flowers though.  It's actually raining here which it hasn't done in weeks so I'm not complaining about a cloudy Friday.

Magnolia Tilda

We were on vacation last week and we took a day trip to the Middlebury Consignment shop.  I had heard about it and it sounded like a fun place, it was about an hour away.  It wasn't quite what I expected but it was a very cool shop but we didn't buy anything so when I came home I was pouty about not finding anything so I went over to my fave LSS The Inspiration Station and one of the things I picked up was this Tilda stamp.

Colored with Copics, the paper is Close To My Heart.  So today was back to work - yick!!  Hope everyone had a great Monday.

More Halloween

Definitely in a Halloween mood!  These two cute digis are from the Stamp Fairy, there are so many cute digis to choose from.  It's kind of a dreary day here, cloudy and showers but it isn't as hot as it was supposed to be so I'm not complaining.  I have the house to myself so me and the pup have been in my craft room all day although I really only got two cards done!  Both of these are colored with Copics, I added pics of the Copics I used for each card.  I know I really appreciate it when someone lists out what they have used in case I absolutely love a color combo so I hope you find it helpful!

I've struggled with pictures today, I really need a light box.  Took pictures outside, inside on my desk, inside by the door nothing was working.

Enjoy your weekend.
