Pink Cat Studio Get Well

A co-worker of mine had to have emergency surgery over the weekend so this is the card I made for him.  I've been doing so many Christmas cards it was really nice to make something else!  This is such a cute image and I'm hoping it will bring a smile to his face while he is recovering.  I'm sure everyone is running around like a lunatic like me.  No matter how much I think I've planned ahead and done things ahead of time the week before Christmas I'm running around like a mad woman.  To much to do, not enough time!!  I'm really looking forward to Christmas this year, I know it's not about the gifts but I'm so excited ot give Mark and Angelina their gifts this year!  I love when someone loves their gift ~ makes me happy.  Well it's almost Friday, lots of cookies to make this weekend.  Enjoy everyone.

High Hopes Challenge

This weeks challenge is a "Birthday" card. I haven't used this image in a long time and it's one of my favorites.
I colored this with Copics and used Doodlebug glitter on the balloons and the present. Paper is Stampin Up. I usually color my image first and then choose my paper and I get frustrated because I can't find something to use with what I've colored so this time I went with paper first. MUCH better...duh...lol! Added flowers (of course!). Happy Monday it's cold here, frost on the grass not happy snow is sadly around the corner. Hugs. E

New Stampavie

I just adore the new Stampavie stamps I bought as many as the budget would allow! Couldn't wait to go pick them up and finally had some time to play with them. Made this card square which I don't normally do but I finally picked up some cello bags for square envelopes so I thought I would try a few. I've had the envelopes forever but kept forgetting to buy the bags. Colored with Copics.

Paper is Close to my Heart. Hugs everyone!

Christmas Cards

I really need to get working on my Christmas cards! Made this card using a High Hopes image, colored with pencils which I haven't used much lately. Thought the soft colors would be nice for this image.
Punched my own coordinating flowers. Hope everyone is having a good week!

Whipper Snapper

I finally broke down and bought a few Whipper Snapper stamps...I never did because they aren't an Angel Company but my goodness they have the cutest stinking images. So I picked up just a few and figure I will just make them for cards I send to people which I'm trying to be better about instead of hoarding them lol! So here's one I made this week...Colored with pencils and OMS, added just a little Stickles yellow to the flower center. Of course I added a flower...can't seem to make a card without one. Hope everyone is having a good week this is my Friday, took tomorrow off. Hugs!

Hello everbody!

So I knew that it had been a long time since I had time to even look at my craft stuff...then I looked at my last post date and realized it's been almost two months! How does all that time go by so fast! I knew I had been in a slump but wow...so yesterday I made time to go to the Heirloom Productions stamp show in Springfield, MA and had a blast! Bought a bunch of stuff (but stayed within my limit!) and as soon as I'm done with this weekend I'm back in the craft cave! My daughter Angelina's dance recital at the Bushnell was this weekend and that took up a ton of time but so proud of her they always put it together in the end and it's beautiful and makes me so proud. So I just wanted to say hi to my few faithful followers...lol and I'm excited to play with the new stuff I got yesterday and actually make a card. Have a great day everybody.

High Hopes Possums

Such a cute image isn't this?? It's easier to find the High Hopes stamps in bare rubber although I'll tell ya my mounting skills on EZ are poor but I'm working on it! I saw this used for a card and just had to have the image it's so cute. Used pencils and OMS. Paper I think is DCWV. Ribbon and flowers of course. Hope everyone had a great Easter...our weather in Connecticut has been just awesome once we got through the floods, couple more days of gorgeous weather and then it's back to where it should be for Spring. I'm going to enjoy it while I can! Hugs!!

By The Way....

I've started selling my cards on Etsy...I've had an Etsy account forever but always put my cards on Ebay but the fees are getting outragious and Etsy is super easy to load stuff to. So if you are ever browsing Etsy search under sellers... CardsByElizabeth unfortunately my blog name was to long it would have been so much easier. Thanks!!!

Not a happy crafter...

So I was looking forward to spending some time making cards today considering I've done little to nothing the last two weeks (yes I know it's beautiful out but I really want to play with my stuff) so thanks to the unbelievable amounts of rain we got Monday and Tuesday we have been bailing out the basement for days. Which of course is where my craft stuff is....moved all the paper upstairs and tried not to panic! Today is the first day where we can go more than an hour without vacuuming up gallons of water. Not how I wanted to spend my day! But needless to say I did make this card last weekend just didn't have time to post. This is a great High Hopes image, background paper is Doodlebug and colored with pencils and OMS. Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday weekend! Gonna be warm....yay!!

High Hopes Cutie

This little girl is so cute....colored with pencils and OMS.

I have so many buttons that I've been trying to use them more on my cards. This paper was buried in a stash...didn't even remember having it. Hope everyone is having a good week. The weather here has been so nice for the last two days I want Spring now! Going to get a little colder but at least the end of winter is in sight. Thanks for looking!

New Penny Blacks

I got my order of new Penny Blacks, I get all of the from Dick at PB Stamps, he's the best! I had placed two orders and the new ones took a couple weeks and I couldn't remember what I ordered so it was like Christmas lol!! Anyhow, getting to spend some time making cards today, got up early got the house cleaned up and now I'm buried in the cellar watching scary movies and making cards. I know it's really nice out but it's not often it's quiet here so I'm taking advantage of it. I hope everyone has a great weekend. I colored this card with pencils, I've been trying to use up odd pieces of paper so I dug through all my paper this morning for this combo, the flowers I embossed and then cut, added dew drops for the centers. Enjoy!!

High Hopes Farm Animals

So I had wanted this stamp for the longest time finally ordered it and then wasn't sure how I wanted it colored...I spent hours searching on Splitcoast and High Hopes blog for some inspiration! So here it is I hope you like it! Colored with pencils and OMS. The background paper with the chickens on it I found at Wiggles & Giggles in Wethersfield, thought it was cute had no idea what I was going to use it for but it worked out perfect if I do say so myself lol!!

Penny Black Hedge Hogs

I am anxiously awaiting my order of new Spring Penny Blacks, can't remembered which ones I ordered so it will be like a gift!! This is one of my favorite standby images. Colored with pencils and markers. Hard to tell in the pic but I used Crystal Lacquer on the ladybug and Stickles on the flower. Paper is from some giant paper pack I bought at Michael's loved the bright colors. It's Thursday, glad this week is almost over hoping the dreary weather goes away soon. Enjoy!!

High Hopes Koala

Another cutie....forgot I had this stamp actually until I was hunting around on Splitcoast looking at examples of High Hopes images. Colred with pencils and OMS. This was another set of paper I had in my "hoard" section. Try to better and use what I have! Added my flowers (of course lol). Happy Monday, glad it's done so tired tonight. Bringing my daughter to her dance class and crawling into bed as soon as we get home. Hugs!

Pink Cat Studio Itty Bitty Betty Butterfly

I love this image! Lots of layers, the center of the flowers are double stacked buttons, I put the first button on and it seemed to be not quite right so I added the top button which has glitter in it and I was much happier! The background behind the image was cut using one of the Nesties Pendant dies which I used at a class at the Inspiration Station back in December. I hadn't tried them before and I thought they were awesome! Just something different to use than the scallops.

High Hopes Cutie Cow

Such a cute cow! Colored with pencils, added my usual flowers everywhere! I've had the paper in my stash forever, was apparently hoarding it and decided to break it out. Love the blue/green color combo. Used my Nesties square. I hadn't paid much attention to the Nesties Borderabilities until I saw it used on a gorgeous card on Splitcoast so looks like I'm going to have to add those to my inventory!

Pink Cat Studio

This is one of the newer Pink Cat Studio digi images....so cute! I colored with Copics and pencils. Paper was a scrap I had in my stash....link to Pink Cat is on the right side of my blog check out all the images they are so cute!

Valentine Penny Black Cat

Another great Penny Black image...colored with pencils. The flowers are three layers, back layer are Primas, middle (pink) is a Cuttlebug die and the top layers are these great buckets of shiny flowers that come in different colors that are in the wedding isle at Michael's. Hope everyone is having a great Monday...it's raining like crazy here and the wind is whipping things around the yard!

Wow...time flew right by!

I can't believe how fast the last month went. Christmas and New Years have come and gone in a big blur. I don't remember a holiday season as busy before. We did enjoy ourselves though and I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. I've been slow at card making just because there hasn't been any time but I did make a few last weekend...

These cute little mice I found at Cuddly Buddy Crafts they have all sorts of cute stuff on this site. Colored with pencils and OMS. Used one of my new Martha Steward punches for the heart, the heart paper I think is Doodlebug.

This is one of my newest Penny Black stamps, so cute~! Another new Martha Stewart punch, spent a lot of money at Michael's last week...lol! Colored with pencils and used a Copic marker for the blue around the image.
Have a great week everybody!
