Frogs & Cows

Unfortunately my daughter and I have both been home sick for three days and there wasn't much card creating mostly there was a lot of sniffling, napping and watching really bad horror movies on Netflix...I did manage to get these three done.

This is a Penny Black stamp that I just recently got, the colors are fantastic - I embossed the flowers, this card was colored using pencils and OMS.

I thought I would make a few graduation cards....another new to me Penny Black. Also colored with pencils and OMS.

I didn't originally think that I really liked these new stamps from Stampendous but I was in Inspiration Station in Stafford a couple of weeks ago and Deb had done a few cards and had them at the counter, this was one of them and it was so cute I had to get it! Another super bright color combo. Hope everyone is having a good day. My daughter is back to school tomorrow and back to work for me I'm actually looking forward to it!

Angels Landing

So I was lurking around Splitcoast yesterday and ready a thread about crocheting your own flowers (which I am trying because I also crochet) and I saw this post from "Crafts" and noticed that Judi had a link to her digital images below...so off I went and oh my gosh are these not the stinking cutest things you have seen??? I only hope they do more! I ordered these but haven't played with them yet....Angels Landing check them out.

Finally!

I finally had a moment to not only post some of my cards on Ebay but also put some here and on Splitcoast...
I was in a hedgehog mood last week - this is another fave image might be great for a dad's day card.

I gotta say I was pretty happy with how this card turned out I love this color combo very tropical! Signature flowers of course - the ribbon is some gorgeous velvet ribbon I got at Tinsel Trading in New York City a couple weeks ago.

Another super cute Penny Black....all these cards are colored with pencils using OMS. I've been buying markers (Copics) a few at a time but I always go back to my pencils it's what I started with and is still by far my favorite coloring medium. Plus I'm much better at that than the markers! Although I am trying to work on my watercolor skills. I took a class on Copic's a few weeks ago at the Inspiration Station in Stafford, CT and it did teach me tons but the end result is unfortunately they are pricey for me and it will take me forever to build up my inventory. So for now I get a few each month and keep working with the pencils. Happy Thursday everybody.

Soooooo...busy

The past two weeks have been so busy I haven't had a lot of "craft" time which doesn't make me happy! I did get a couple of cards done. I was asked by a co-worker to make invitations for his daughter's graduation party so I'm trying to find time to get going on those. I hope everyone had a great Easter. I had an Easter breakfast which turned out really well and then went for an Easter dinner and my boyfriend's mom's. She basically made a Thanksgiving dinner so it was awesome! Although I think I ate enough on Sunday for a whole week! My daughter brought home the class frogs for school vacation week so I'm trying to make sure we don't kill them - I don't need an entire fifth grade class angry with me! They didn't have names so I named them Fredo and Luigi - they are kinda not cute and they have nails - they scare me a lil bit!! lol

Here is one card I made - hedgie from Penny Black I love the purple/green color combo. I added stickles and glitter. Oh yeah added flowers of course!!

Time Alone.....

I had a good part of Sunday to myself which is really rare so I got to make some cards.....
This one I watercolored...I'm trying to work on my watercolor skills....after I watercolored I used some Twinkling H2O's kind of hard to see in the picture. Punched my own flowers. Image is Penny Black.
I was so happy with this card....new stamp for me from High Hopes. I loved the flower embellishment. Clearly flowers are my favorite embellishment!!!! lol

My Helper.......

This is Carmella - in the midst of my mess - please don't look around at the pic to much we haven't even started to re-do this room!! The color is yucky and I don't have any of my shelves up yet and everything is sorta just all over the place!!

Cute Card Thursday Challenge 54 Citrus Colors

This was an easy challenge for me I love citrus colors and I had just colored the perfect image. This is from Dustin Pike - available as a free download from his blog his artwork is AMAZING and he is super generous. The background paper is from Quick Quotes Paper and I hate to use it because I'm afraid I won't have any left..lol....

I've been trying to get some cards done today as the "old man" (still looking for what to call him still hate boyfriend hehehe) is at a swap meet and my daughter is with her dad. Unfortunately one of my 3 cats wants to spend time with me and keeps walking and sitting all over everything. Also watching the movie Mirrors - s0 far it's good gotta love Keifer. So here is my Citrus Color Challenge. Hope you like it enjoy your Sunday.

High Hopes Surprise

When I received my last High Hopes order included was this stamp! What a nice surprise. I love cows so I actually used this one first before the ones I ordered. I used Flower Soft for the grass - I took a class on this couple weeks ago - it's a fun embellishment - little messy at first but I got the hang of it. Basically you just add some glue where you want it - sprinkle some on pat it down and flick off the excess a lot like Flock. I bought 3 colors just solids they have some really pretty assorted colors. Background paper is something I had - added flowers (big sparkly red flower is Doodlebug I hoard these I love them so much).

Penny Black Bunnies

I borrowed this stamp from Mark's mom - we were together at one of our favorite LSS' and she found it first!! The bunnies are so cute and not just for Easter. I colored this using my Prismas - not sure where the paper is from had it in my stash. Flowers of cours and I added some buttons.
The bunny "paws" (are they paws on bunnies???) are 3-D which to be honest I am not a huge fan of doing I don't have the most patience for cutting but it's a nice effect.
