More Christmas and A Cow

House is quiet today so I've spent most of the day in my craft room. Another High Hopes oldie and a new stamp from Whimsy Stamps

High Hopes Favorite

I'm finally getting my act together and working on Christmas cards!!  I pulled out an older High Hopes stamp that is still one of my favorites. Colored with Copics.  I actually managed to put this together using scraps of paper.  I always have good intentions of hitting up the scrap pile but then get side tracked by all the other paper I have!  Hope everyone had a good weekend.  Mark is feeling good his recovery is going great he actually got up and out of the house today.  He will probably be exhausted tonight!

Happy Thursday

Mark had surgery on Tuesday, he had a ruptured disc and a bulging disc so he had to have a piece of bone take from his hip and fused in his neck.  Fortunately it was a one night stay and he came home yesterday.  I took the week off because he's going to need some help getting around for a bit.  Surgery went really well so hopefully he will feel some relief.  So today while he was sleeping I got into my craft room for a bit!  Made this cutie, it's a Wild Rose Studio Stamp.  Colored with Copics.

Hope everyone is having a good week it's getting chilly here might actually have to put socks and shoes on, hate when it's time to retire the flip flops!

Penguin Light Me Up

Isn't this little guy adorable?  New digi stamp from Crissy Armstrong available at Whimsy Stamps.  Colored with Copics, paper was from a paper pack for both cards.  Pulled out my Stickles for the lights.  Things have been crazy seems the first month back to school is always nuts. Then it was my daughter's birthday, 15 shoosh can't believe it!  We are having a heat wave at the moment, hot and muggy I'm looking forward to fall weather to return again.  The leaves are starting to fall all over the place!  Hope everyone is good and thanks for stopping by.

70-90-65

We have the craziest weather in New England you would think that I would be used to it by now.  Today it was 70 Wednesday it's supposed to be almost 90 and Thursday maybe 65.  Crazy.  This was a miserable hot, muggy summer and I am so ready for it to be over.  Give me sweatshirts!!  I do love fall and I really love Halloween.

Cute digi stamp from Wee Stamps.  Colored with Copics, the paper is Doodlebug.  I always forget about my twine, wanted to attach a charm to it but realized I don't have any Halloween charms!  Hope everyone is good we are settling back into the school routine and dance started back up tonight.  The dog knows he gets to go to dance with us and he and I sit in the car and watch horror movies.  Well I watch he sleeps but he is happy to go!

Finally...a card!

I'm back.  I think it's the hot weather.  I don't like it, it makes me cranky and I think it makes me not want to do a darn thing.  So it's been much cooler the last two weeks and I'm a much happier person.  I'm off this week from work and today I dedicate the morning to making cards.  I made this card using High Hopes "Bearly Swooshin" and am entering it into two challenges High Hope's Red & Green Challenge and Cute Card Thursday's Button Up Challenge.  I hope everyone has had a great summer, can't believe school starts next week yay!!!!  Thanks for stopping by and have a good day.

Still No Crafts But Pretty Beach Pictures!

Still in a funk BUT we just got back from vacation (Eastham, Cape Cod) and I'm working on getting myself together again.  Thought I would share some of the prettiness.  I was meant to live near the ocean.

Sigh...I did not want to go back to work today.  Need to start working on my retirement plan. 

Worst Crafter Ever

I just realized it's been a month since my last post and I still don't have anything new to share.  Sigh...I just can't seem to get myself into my craft room.  I walk by and look at all the pretty things and then go sit on the couch like a log.  So I'd thought I'd share "something", "anything" lol!  So this is it...my splurge purchase.  I have wanted one of these dutch ovens forever and I finally treated myself.  So here it is:

Crafting Slump

At least once a year I go into a crafting "slump", I don't feel like doing anything crafty.  It seems to usually happen around this time of year, I don't know if it's because it's a particularly busy time of year or what the problem is but last night I had a little pep talk with myself and made sure I had time today to get into my craft room.  It's was nice to play with my markers again!

This cutie is a Wild Rose stamp, colored with Copics.  The paper is Bella Blvd (love them).  Not a fancy card just something to get me back in the swing of things!  Hope everyone is good and is enjoying a nice weekend.  Hugs - missed you all!

Gorgeous Sunday!

I wish the weather could be like it is today everyday!  Mark had baseball this morning it was so nice to sit in the sun.  Hope everyone had a good weekend, I was on a blue green kick!!

Sweetest Wee Suzi digi.  I love this paper I don't even know what line it is I have had it so long but this is the last of my bits and pieces of it that I had left.  Colored with Copics.  I punched out a bunch of the little flowers, the white sparkly flower was actually from a Christmas set, layered it with a felt flower and button.  I've had these cute colored safety pins forever and didn't really have a clue what to do with them and I saw something on Pinterest (of course lol) that had the beads on it and remembered how we used to do that and put them on our sneakers!!  Thanks for stopping by!

Spring?

We had a few days of gorgeous weather and then back to freezing nights - I am ready for some warm weather!  Lately it seems we go right from winter to summer.  So I mentioned last weekend I had been doing some different kind of crafts, I have become obsessed with felt!

As per usual back picture, tried outside this time!  So I made this heart ornament, I am terrible with using my sewing machine but I enjoy hand stitching these.  There is so much inspiration out there I have found some awesome stuff on Pinterest.  Hope you like it!

Quiet Saturday

I didn't realize it had been so long since my last post - it's been busy!  My daughter has a lovely stomach bug so she has been laying around for two days.  I feel so bad for her and I'm not going to lie I'm also hoping I don't get it!  So it's quiet here today, she's sleeping on and off and Mark is out working on a mower so I got to have some craft time!

I used this beauty of a Wee Stamps digi.  Colored with Copics, flowers are from Wild Orchid.  The lace is from my gram's house, when we cleaned it out I found some of her sewing stuff and this lace was in it.  Still struggling with photos, I bought another lamp and some Ott light bulbs and was basically standing on my head trying to get a clear shot.  Sigh....hope everyone is having a good weekend I have some new crafts to share with you but I think I'm going to head outside to get a good picture!  Will upload something later.  Hugs!!

Happy Easter, Passover!

I was lucky to have yesterday off so my plan to hide in my craft room all day which I did..sort of...I get "sidetracked" very easily and something got in my head that I needed to re-organize my buttons and brads.  I have about 15 of those plastic jewelry/bead storage containers.  So I decided to sort my buttons by color and put them in mason jars.  I enlisted my daughter and we spent a couple hours going through everything and I'm happy that everything is more organized.  I am a neat freak and it makes me happy to have organization!  So needless to say I didn't spend as much time crafting as I wanted to but I did get a couple cards done.

Love this sweetie from Sylvia Zet.  Colored with Copics, floral paper is Doddlebug.  The leaves I cut with my new Meadow Leaf die, flowers are Wild Orchid and the little corner piece and buckle are Close To My Heart (re-discovered them while organizing lol).  Hope everyone is having a good weekend!

Waiting For Spring

After a foot of snow last Friday we had three days of 50 degree weather, got spoiled, now we are back to low 30's and I woke up this morning to find it snowing.  I'm so done with winter.  So I made myself a pretty, bright, Easter card!

Time Change

I don't know about you but this time change messes me up.  I set my alarm way early this morning so hopefully I will fall asleep tonight.  Spent most of the day in my craft room yesterday while re-watching the first season of The Walking Dead (best show ever!!!).

Made this card with the new acrylic set from Penny Black Chick to Chick.  I'm so happy these are available through Penny Black I was so sad when Elzybells closed down.  I've mostly be a lazy bum today, got everything done early so we could hang out on the couch and watch the race.  Hope everyone had a nice weekend.

High Hopes Clarabelle And Riley

High Hopes remains one of my most favorite stamp companies and I really love their "farm" stamps.  I've used Clarabelle and Riley for this card.

I colored this with Copics.  I took some twine and twisted it around, it's glued down with crystal lacquer and then I added the brads for a little extra support!  I'm entering this in High Hopes "Anything Goes" Challenge.  Hope everyone is having a good week.

Almost Friday!

Yay.  I hate that I wish the week away but I'm pretty excited tomorrow is Friday.  It's been a super busy work week so I'm looking forward to a couple days off.

Enjoying My Day

I haven't been as crafting productive as I thought I was going to be (one of my downfalls is watching scary movies while I craft and I get distracted heehee).  I'm trying to dedicate more time to challenges and 7 Kid's current challenge is Happy Birthday.  I didn't feel like using a digi so I dug around in my stamps and came across this long forgotten Whipper Snapper stamp.  I don't own a lot of their stamps but this one sure is a cutie!

This is a larger image and I was happy with the card without any embellishments.  Colored with Copics, added some sprinkles to the cupcake and cake with my Ice White Pearl Pen (love these things).  Put some Gold Glitter Liner on the slice of cake and added lacquer to the cherry and the heart on the apron.  Paper is Cupcakes from BasicGrey.  Thanks for stopping by!

To Cold To Go Outside!

We are lucky enough to have today off but it is absolutely freezing outside and I'm refusing to leave the house!  Mark went to go snow mobiling, I said good luck, dress warm and wear your helmet, I'm staying in my craft room all day.  Hope everyone had a nice weekend, it was Mark and his brothers (he is an identical triplet) birthday last week so we celebrated over the weekend.  We did "luxury" bowling at Foxwoods casino.  It was really nice.  I haven't bowled in about two years since our bowling alley collapsed from all the snow two years ago so I wasn't exactly on fire.  Not that I ever am, just happy to knock down some pins!  The bowling alley at Foxwoods has a full bar and restaurant and it's really nice.  Sunday we were vegetables, Mark worked 60 hours over the weekend for the blizzard and then had an additional three call ins during the week so he was exhausted, so we sat on the couch all day.  It was great!  Ok back to cards heehee

A Little Snow

So it snowed a little bit this weekend, almost three feet.  Sigh.  I live in New England so I understand weather but man the last year and a half we have had some serious weather events.  Here's a couple pics of the snow at the front and back doors of my house.

Mark and I both work for a municipality in the Public Works Department, he's "essential" personnel where usually I am not.  However that means I'm home trying to deal with whatever fun the weather hands us.  So I've never used a snowblower before but Mark gave me a lesson Thursday night so Saturday  afternoon out I go, after some rough starts and a phone call I got the beast running.  So three hours later I had a path from the garage to the road.  Then it died at the bottom of the driveway.  So I had to lug it back up the driveway.  I don't know if I killed it or not.  Mark's been at work since Friday morning, it's now Sunday night I'm hoping he comes home soon.  I shoveled enough so I think he can at least get in the driveway.  Stupid snow.  Ok on to happier things, being snowed in I did get some crafting done!

This is an oldie but goodie from Penny Black.  Love anything with a lady bug on it.  I had to make some bright and cheery since I only see white everywhere out the window.  Colored with Copics added lacquer to the little bug.  Hope everyone had a nice weekend.

Waiting For The Super Bowl

We are getting ready to watch "Puppy Bowl" on the Animal Planet and then patiently wait for the Super Bowl.  I'm a Miami Dolphins fan so I've never had the chance to get excited about the Super Bowl haha.  I used a cute digi from Stamp Fairy, Patches In Love for this card.

Paper is Doodlebug I think.  I added laquer to the hearts, colored with Copics.  I have to admit I think Valentine's is dumb but every else seems to get really excited about it and there are the cutest Valentine images!!  Hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday.  Happy Super Bowl Sunday!!

Ribbons Challenge

Happy Saturday!  It's been cold and super windy.  We lost power again all day Thursday, we had  a storm come through Thursday and once again we had trees down all over the place.  Crazy weather lately.  Luckily the power came back on late Thursday.  Hope everyone is having a good week.  I made a couple cards today, this one I'm entering in High Hopes Ribbons Challenge.  I think I have had this piece of paper in my stash for years!

I colored this cutey with Copics added some Stickles to the flowers.  I'm off to try to get another card done - have a great weekend!

Monday Already?

So one of my New Year's "goals" was to really get my act in gear when it came to crafting, I spend to much time wandering around on the internet and not enough time in my room.  So far I'm not doing so well haha.  The first couple weeks of January were absolutely crazy which isn't the norm, when it's cold I don't like to leave the house ever!!  Perfect weather to stay home and craft.  So I'm back to getting my act together we will see how it goes.  I did make this card on Saturday, I neglect my Penny Black's to much.

Wow can't believe 2012 is over, went by so fast.  So I don't make resolutions I make "goals" I seem to fail when I call them resolutions lol!  One of my goals is to really make time for crafting.  It really is one of my favorite things to do so I'm going to make sure that I set aside time for it. 

Hope eveyone had a wonderful Christmas/New Year's I think I was snoring on the couch by 9 pm last night.  Such a pary animal!!

I had this image colored for awhile so I sat down today and put this card togethe using one of Sylvia Zet's gorgeous digis.  Sylvia just came out with the cutest set "Playful Kittens".  The image I used is Summer Fairy, I colored her with Copics, paper is all Bo Bunny, ribbon is Stampin Up.
