The Stamping Boutique Challenge 22 Inspiration

Head on over to The Stamping Boutique to see the photo of a cake that we used as our inspiration for the newest challenge.  I saw the gorgeous colors and made this card:

I immediately thought of this paper that I have from Doodlebug.  Love pink and green!  I love the snowman images from The Stamping Boutique.  Colored with Copics and used what I think is the very last piece of velvet ribbon I had.  I thought it was all gone and then I found one more piece!  Hope everyone is ready for the holidays, I am not.  I am so behind this year it's ridiculous haven't sent one card or baked one cookie and we got a call last night that someone wants to come look at the house today eeeeeekkkk!!!!  Happy Wednesday everyone.



Happy Saturday

I hope everyone is having a more productive Saturday than I am.  Totally under the weather for the last couple days, I've done nothing but lay around today.  Thought I would share this totally cute Tiddly Inks digi.

 Paper is Doodlebug, colored with Copics.  I added Stickles to the ornaments.  The ribbon is this awesome velvet ribbon I have had forever and was down to my last lil tiny piece!  Enjoy your weekend everyone!

The Stamping Boutique Challenge

For the latest challenge "No Traditional Colors" we couldn't use red or green which I admit I think are in 90% of my Christmas cards!

Another Beauty

This is Heidi one of her newer digi's.  Paper is a pack I got at Target.  Did everyone go Black Friday shopping?  We did!  We got up at 3 and headed out.  Luckily the stores we "needed" to go to we knew weren't going to be a disaster and we got all the things we went for and were home by 7 and then I took a nap!

The latest Stamping Boutique Challenge is Thanksgiving which is my favorite holiday.  I'm not going to lie I love the food!!!!

High Hopes Angel

One of my all time favorite stamp lines is High Hopes, I just love them! 

I colored this with Copics and added Stickles to her wings and collar.  Flowers are from Wild Orchid and I added Stickles to the edges of the roses. Hope everyone had a nice weekend, we were so busy it seems to have flown by.  Looking forward to a short week and Thanksgiving!

Something Not Christmas

I wanted to do something "unseasonal"!  I used the Paper Shelter's Spring Swing digi.

Colored with Copics, paper was a scrap.  Flowers are from Wild Orchid.  Things are pretty much back to normal, yard is almost all cleaned up, got our phone back and finally got cable back.  I was missing tv I hate to admit it.  We had a generator that would light up basically a light and charge our cell phones so at night we would plug in our tiny portable DVD player and watch a movie but it wasn't the same!!  Hope everyone is having a good week.

After The Storm....

Storm Alfred showed up as a rare October snowstorm that kicked Connecticut's rear.  It dropped about a foot of heavy snow that downed wires, trees and limbs everywhere.  I believe at the height there were over 800,000 people without power.  It looked like nothing I've ever seen even with the hurricanes we've had.  We were without power, heat and water for over a week but fortunate that we were all ok.  We work for a public works department so needless to say we worked crazy hours.  But here we are almost two weeks later and normal has started to return.  We are so fortunate. 

I did get to make a few cards finally!

The Stamping Boutique Challenge 18 Spooky Scary Halloween

The latest challenge is up for the Stamping Boutique - Spooky Scary Halloween - love Halloween!  I love the colors, the cosutmes and let's be honest the candy lol!

I used Halloween Vampire digi stamp - this cutie is on sale right now!  I used my Memory Box Creepy Web die and the bats are a Martha Stewart punch.  He's colored in copics.  Hope everyone is having a good week it's getting cold here and they have the "s" word in the forecast for Saturday.  It's not supposed to be much of anything but I like to make it to November before I see snow ugh.  Happy Tuesday everybody!

Cuddly Buddly Pachela Studios

This is one of the Toby Tumble digi's - isn't he just adorable??  I didn't get anytime to make any cards last weekend, we cleaned the house like lunatics on Friday for our open house on Sunday, we headed out early Saturday down to Long Island for a wedding.  We stayed over but had to leave LI at 5 am because Mark had double header baseball playoff games starting at 10 am.  We didn't get back to the hotel from the wedding until about 1 am so we had about 3 hours sleep.  Needless to say I think we were sleeping by 7 Sunday night!  They won one, lost one so we have the final game on Sunday.  I will be glad when baseball is over it's getting cold out watching the games!  So tonight I put together this card.

The Stamping Boutique Challenge 17 Someone Special

Our challenge was to make a card for "Someone Special".  I used AJ the Builder digi stamp.  This card is for my dad who has been working like a maniac helping us get our house ready to sell.  We could not have done it without him and I have a gift certificate for him for a hotel my folks love to go to in Maine and I'm going to tuck inside this card.  He really is the best and we are so lucky!

I colored AJ with Copics, didn't want to make the card to girlie so I just added some buttons.  I've had a couple days off and I do not want to go back to work tomorrow!  Have a great day and head over to The Stamping Boutique to check out the challenge and the rest of the design team's awesome work!

Cutest Doggie Ever

Just wanted to share a new pic of my pup with you.  Taken yesterday while at my boyfriends baseball game.  I did NOT want a tiny doggie (he's 4.5 lbs of fierceness) but I am completely and totally attached to this dog lol!

Bewitched Night

I love the kitty on the broom!  So cute.  Colored with Copics.  I think the paper is Doodlebug, still trying to work off my scraps stash.  I have got to stop buying paper and use what I have lol!  Well it's back to Monday, my daughter turned 13 this weekend...eeeeeekkk....I asked her to please not turn into a nasty, satanic teenager she just rolled her eyes at me as usual.  We had a nice family, friend dinner, made some of our favorite recipes from Carmine's (fave restaurant in NYC) and everyone had a good time.  I listened to 4 giggling teenagers most of the night but they had a good time.

First Stamping Boutique Project

Here's my first ever project for The Stamping Boutique Challenge Design Team!  This is for the "Changing of the Season" challenge.  I love fall colors.

I used the Frankenstein digi stamp.  Colored with Copics,  the leaves I have had forever, added ribbon and some twine.  Happy it's Thursday busy weekend coming up.  My daughter is turning 13 (help me..) and we are having a party Saturday night and she's got some friends sleeping over.  Hope everyone's week has been good!!

Exciting (Super Exciting!!) News

I am so excited I can't stand it!  I have been slected to be on the Stamping Boutique's Challenge Design Team!!  I am a little overhwelmed as I've never been on a design team before just hoping I make them proud!  The digis are adorable.  So wish me luck fingers crossed.

A card and some NYC pics

My girlfriend Patti and I love Manhatten we go as often as the budget will allow.  My other half (Mark) went to the races in Loudon yesterday and Patti and I took off for lower Manhatten.  We went to Mario Batali's Eataly.  I don't know if anyone has gone but oh my goodness it is the best place.  It's a huge market/restaurant.  They have tons of food to buy for home - meat counter, cheese, fresh pastas, boxed pasta, sauce, candy oh my!  There are different restaurant areas to choose from.  We went right for the carbs to the Pizza and Pasta area.  Our meal was fantastic.  Just loved it.  We went down to Little Italy for the San Gennaro festival which was a ton of fun.  Ate some more there.  We walked the Brooklyn Bridge - all in all it was a great day of just wandering.  So here are a few pics of our trip and then a card!

The card is a Wee Stamp.  I just love these, they are so delicate and beautiful.  Colored with Copics, added some glitter.  Have no idea what the paper is found it in "the stash" and literally had just enough to cover the card!  Back to Monday tomorrow.  Hope everyone had a nice weekend.  I need a day off from my weekend heehee.

Crazy Month of September

It's been a nutty couple of weeks in my house, started back to school and dance, poor doggy got neutered and had baby teeth removed and then my daughter fell and knocked out a tooth (permanent of course) and gave herself whiplash.  We are still trying to sell our house and I feel like all I've done for months is clean the house.  We did get to go see the Uproar concert, Mark and I are huge fans of Avenged Sevenfold and Bullet for my Valentine and they were both great so at least we got to have a little fun!  I did get to make some cards too!!

Cute Card Thursday Challenge

I used this cute Magnolia stamps for Cute Card Thursday's Pinch and a Punch Challenge.  Using at least one punch was an easy challenge.  I love blue/green combo's (I'm pretty sure I've said that before lol).  Hope everyone had a good day, it's nice having your Monday be a Tuesday!  Although it's been raining all day and I think it's supposed to rain all week, we are going to need an ark!

I love these little Bugaboo Turtles they are so stinking cute!  Day off today for Labor Day and I got to make some cards and watch a couple good horror movies in peace!  Don't feel like going back to work tomorrow!!  We made it through the hurricane better than we thought we would, we were without power for three days which wasn't bad at all considering some Towns in Connecticut were almost a week without it.

Well we've done what we can to prepare ourselves for the hurricane should be here later tonight.  We will have to go to work probably about midnight could be days before we see home again.  Luckily we have someone staying at the house for us.  Made a couple cards this week.

Rainy Monday

It's been pouring here all day, yesterday too, so it's ugly.  Stayed in the house and got just a couple of cards done.  I haven't been very motivated to make cards, things haven't gone well trying to sell this house so we have been pretty discouraged.  So I'm trying to get back in the swing of things!  Here is a cute High Hopes image I did today, colored with Copics,  Paper was from scraps again, I know the polka dot paper is some really old Creative Memories paper I had not sure about the other.  Hope everyone is off to a good start this week.

I finally bought myself more than one Magnolia!  We need a vacation from our vacation we got everything done to get our house ready to hopefully sell.  Although the market is so bad we aren't overly hopeful.  We just keep saying "we will see what happens".  I colored this cutie with Copics, flowers are from Wild Orchid, paper was from the scrap pile which seems to be growing not decreasing!  Happy Sunday everybody it's hot and muggy here already.  Hugs!

Halfway Through July Already?

I thought June was busy!  We decided to try to sell our house - crazy in this market I know but we have spent the last few weeks running around like lunatics getting stuff ready, finishing up unfinished projects and we are just hoping it will be worth it!  I finally got some time to make some cards yesterday and I used this gorgeous Wee Suzi digi.  Just love her.  Hope everyone is having a good summer so far the weather is gorgeous today!

Cute Card Thursday Birthstone Challenge

Wow the last two weeks have flown by...my daughter had four days of dance recitals and then one of my closest friends came to stay for 5 days from Florida and we shopped till we dropped!  I did sneak in time to make a couple of cards but really haven't any quality crafting time!  This digi is from The Paper Shelter isn't she gorgeous?  Entering this in their challenge Punches and Dies.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend, we survived four days of rehearsals and recitals and the kids did an amazing job!  I did manage to put this cutie together

The Paper Shelter "Glad For Dad" Challenge

This weeks challenge is "Glad For Dad"

I used this Stampavie stamp, isn't he cute?  This is my dad...lol...always at my house fixing something.  I'm so grateful we have him he's such an awesome handy man!!  We've had tornado warnings all afternoon which is so rare for us and Springfield, MA northwest of us had a tornado.  Praying no one was hurt, pictures and video are just starting to come out now on the new.  Hope everyone is having a good week, tomorrow starts dance craziness for us.  My daughter's dance recital is this weekend, she has rehearsal tomorrow night and Friday night and then shows on Saturday and Sunday.  I love recital, they work so hard all year and they just do an awesome job.  Hugs to everyone!!

Stampavie Cutie

I've had this stamp forever and struggled for some reason figuring how I wanted to color it.  Pretty happy although I think I might have something a little different in mind! 

Colored with Copics, added Stickles to the flowers.  The flowers are from Wild Orchid, added some pearls.  The paper again was a small piece from my "stash" will be trying to use those scraps up forever I think!  We finally have some sun today after about two weeks of rain it's so nice.  Happy Wednesday this is a really looooong week so far.  I'm entering this card in Spoonful of Sugar's "Things With Wings" challenge and the Paper Shelter's "Anything Goes" challenge. Bugaboo Digi

I just love these little bonnet girls they are so cute.

I was happy with the color combo, colored with Copics.  Flowers are from Wild Orchid.  I'm still trying to use my stash of bits and pieces of paper and had just enough of this paper to do this card.  I'm determined to use up my pile of "pieces" lol.  I keep telling myself I don't need anymore paper but then new patterns come out and I'm doomed.  Hope everyone had a good weekend, I'm hoping we will eventually have nice weather again it's been almost two weeks of clouds and rain here.  I'm already whining about going to work tomorrow!  Hugs!

Teddy Bo Digi

This is the first digi I have bought from Teddy Bo isn't he cute?  So I made the card was happy with the coloring and paper choice (Close To My Heart) and then I put the ribbon on and I thought oh my gosh I just ruined this card!  I hated it.  So I dug through my buttons and decided to throw some on there figured it couldn't look any worse and I have to say I think the buttons totally saved it and I was happy with the end result.  Hope everyone is having a good weekend, it's miserable and rainy here but I'm lounging on the couch watching the race.

First Magnolia Stamp!

I hadn't bought any of these...ever...wasn't sure I was crazy about the "mouthless" thing lol.  When I took Suzanne Dean's class last month one of the images she had us use was a Magnolia and I realized I really like them so I bought just one from my LSS Inspiration Station and here she is

I really didn't want to like these because I don't need to "need" another line of stamps and there are so many of these!  Colored with Copics, these flowers are Prima's that I found on clearance at Michael's.  I missed my mail carrier today who was trying to deliver my newest box of goodies from Wild Orchid and now I have to wait till Monday to go to the Post Office argggghhhh!!  Hope everyone is having a good weekend!

Penny Black Birthday Card

I made this card for a co-worker for his wife.

Not a great pic I took it last night in the basement!  I'm entering this in two challenges both using distressing, I don't distress much but I did the image and then put some Close To My Heart ink on the edges, I also did the pattern paper and the outside purple piece.  Glad it's Friday!!!

Wild Orchid Challenge

I made this card using a new Wee Suzi digi, they are the most adorable images!  The challenge was white plus two colors with a twist.  I'm hoping this card was what they were looking for!  Colored with Copics.  I've been using the Cryogen paper getting better at it, I was applying to much pressure (used to different paper) and it was bleeding around the edges but I think I have it under control!  Background paper was a half a sheet I had left no idea whose it is but I'm sad I don't have more!

Added two Wild Orchid roses and some pretty lace ribbon from Michael's.  Sorry the picture is kinda crummy I don't have a good place to take pics in this house!  No good light and the sun is setting here.  Need a good lightbox.  Hope everyone is having a good week almost Friday!

High Hopes "Anything Goes" Challenge

I love this little girl, I can't wait for warmer weather!  Everytime I think it's going to stay warm for a bit we get another round of ugly, rainy, cold weather.  Oh well pretty soon I will be complaining I am too hot!!

I wasn't sure about the red/green combo not one I use often but I really like how it came out.  Colored with Copics, added some Prima flowers and ribbon.  Just placed another order from Wild Orchid can't wait till those arrive!  Happy Wednesday everyone!

Colored with Copics.  Well it's Sunday and so far it's gorgeous out - Mark starts baseball today and last year I was watching his first game wrapped in a blanket and freezing so this is much better!  Have a great day everybody!

Rainy Day Duck

It's been so cloud and yucky here lately I thought this was a perfect stamp to use although I did nice bright colors so it made me feel much better!  Supposedly the sun is going to be out tomorrow and it's going to be nice which is good cuz Mark has his first baseball game of the season tomorrow then we are off to a concert at Mohegan Sun.  I took Monday off so I could recover lol!  Not easy getting home at 1 am and getting up at 4 am anymore!  Too old lol!!

So I colored this cutie with copics, added Stickles to the water and lacquer to the ladybug.  The polka dot flower and button are Doodlebug the paper I had one small piece left so I'm not sure who's it is!  Have a great weekend..hugs.

I spent all day at my favorite LSS, Inspiration Station in Stafford taking two classes from the Queen of cardmaking Suzanne Dean.  I took both the beginner and the advanced classes.  I learned a lot and I had a great time with some great ladies!  Here's a pic of Suzanne, myself and Mark's mom.  She's such a tiny lil thing lol!!

Get Well Girl

I was on a pink kick this weekend...cute Pink Cat Studio digi used, colored with Copics.  I'm getting excited for my Copic classes with the Queen of card making...Suzanne Dean.  I am so stinking excited!  I'm taking her beginner and intermediate class, both on the same day.  I might not "need" the beginner class but I figured if I learned even one thing it would be worth it.  Taking the classes as my fave LSS Inspiration Station in Stafford.
